The high resolution lens provides a clear image of objects as close as 3/4 inch and over one foot away while providing a wide 40 degree field of view. A powerful lamp illuminates dark crevices on demand with the push of a button conveniently located on the handle. The ergonomically designed handle is comfortable to hold and allows one-handed focusing and light activation.
Rugged and water resistant, ProVision is made of high impact ABS and
flexible cable sheathing that obediently stays in a set position.
Adjust the cable into any position and it will stay fixed in place,
until you decide to change it *. This feature permits one-handed
operation – freeing your other hand for work!
The plastic fiber is sealed inside of plastic tube. The material for
plastic tubes were selected so they do not absorb diesel nor petrol.
The thicker scopes 10.6mm (PV1 series: PV100s, PV300s, 480s,720s and 960s) have polyolefin jacket around metal shaft.
The thinner scopes 6mm (PV1 series: pv618s, pv636s and PV648s) have
nylon shaft around the fiber. Both types of scopes were extensively
tested for ingress of diesel, gasoline and some other common
chemicals. Both types of scopes will not be damaged by diesel or
petrol (as long as no one submerges the handle).
