A borescope (or bore scope, boroscope) is an instrument used in technical situations where direct line-of-sight observation is not feasible or possible. A borescope is an optical device consisting of a rigid or flexible tube with an eyepiece on one end, an objective lens on the other linked together by a relay optical system in between. The optical system is usually surrounded by optical fibers used for illumination of the remote object and a rigid or flexible protective outer sheath.

Obedient - "Obedient" cable maintains its fixed position until readjusted, Diameter 10.5mm
Non-Obedient - "Non-Obedient" flexible cable attached to the scope, Diameter 5.8mm

"LED" means "light emitting diode". It does not require filament to create light. It's an electronic device that lights up when electricity passes through it.
It needs to be placed on a circuit board or other material that allow electricity to pass through it at a specific voltage and current. LEDs do not come ready to plug into a 12v or 120v power source.

The New York Empire State Plaza holiday tree has doned on a new dress of energy-efficient LED (light-emitting diode) lights!
The state has provided 4,000 multicolored C9 LED light bulbs to decorate the tree. Each bulb draws only 0.9 watts of power, a tenth of the energy of what the old bulbs consumed. The new LED lights will consume only 2,800 kilowatss-hours of electricity (about $400 worth) during the holiday season in comparison to traditional incandescent holiday lights will consume. This translates to more than $50,000 savings in energy and replacement costs over the lifetime of the bulbs for the region's residents.

Here are some pointer tips and precautions on using ProVision light scopes.
- Avoid over-bending the shaft (over-bending will void warranty)
- Do not open the handle for any reason. There are no user
serviceable parts in the handle. Batteries and the light bulb are
accessible via the door on the shaft end of the handle. (Opening handle
will void warranty.)
- Do not submerse the handle in any liquid.
- Do not immerse the shaft in any solvent for extended periods.
- Wipe clean after using in diesel fuel and gasoline.
- Do not use in proximity of live electrical circuits.
- Do not use in explosive environments.
- Not intended for medical use.
- Storage and operating temperatures: -10 to 120° F. (-23 to 48o C)

Do PV2 scopes have brighter lighting than PV1 scopes?
